Shapeship
My second TIC-80 game and so far one of my favourite concepts. I wanted to make an R-Type-like game - fly to the right, shoot enemies, avoid bullets - and I wanted to add some kind of roguelike aspect to it. I did this with a ‘create your ship’ loop which I personally really love.
Each ‘pixel’ on your ship has a different purpose - a gun, a laser, an engine, etc etc. You’re given a different selection of pixels at the end of each 30-second round, and rarity depends on how many enemy drops of ‘scrap’ you pick up. Different pixels have different synergies when you place them near others - for instance, three guns in a line give you a bullet fan spread instead of firing in a line.
I think this is one of the better games I’ve made, and with dozens to hundreds more hours of work it could actually be quite playable. Sprites instead of solid colours; maybe rooms and bosses and so on like Star of Providence instead of right-scrolling; plenty of other options there.
I toyed with the idea of making it an autobattler, by adding an ‘autopilot’ pixel. I think that idea still has legs, and it could be fun to have to jump in yourself if your autopilot gets destroyed.

All these games are incomplete and broken. Caveat emptor
